If I continue developing with pre 9.4xx will I need to export to from the LCM for the fixes to work?

Your old version should be working on pre 9.5 but if you want to use it on 9.5, you have to use the new version.

LiveCode 9.6 dp3 has been tested with CanelaDB and everything works as expected. There have been some array improvements in the latter versions of LC 9 that may improve performance.
